It depends from college to college. If you are joining a college where you need to make presentations then you need one. Colleges that focus more on theoretical learning do not compel you to buy a laptop, but due to covid online classes are going on so to attend classes you must have laptop.

On the other hand, having a laptop for a college student is essential as you could need it for continuous research on the Internet.

• A laptop will also be beneficial for attempting online examinations.
• It will also assist you in producing your assignments (if any are assigned to you) and submitting them to the appropriate faculty.
• Although you can use your mobile phone if you don't have a laptop or can't afford one right now, a laptop makes things easier.
• In terms of studies, all you need to do is study from the textbooks, the faculty's notes, and your own notes!

Hai, to have a laptop is depends upon college to college some college have computer lab seperately for each course there you can use for researching any topic or doing any presentation. But in some colleges these facilities are not available, so when you have to make presentations on different subjects then it creates problem as there lab facilities are not, if you have own laptop you can make it very easily. But it all depend on your on choice if you considered laptop  first priority want to  spend money on it you can buy otherwise if you are not able to buy it now then alternative can be opted go for near cafe or use friends laptop.

No, B.com students do not require laptops necessarily. You can easily do your curriculum without it and can pass with flying colors. Do not stress much on it, you can use your mobile phones for other stuff. Once you reach the final year then I feel it helps a but to get placements.
