Maharashtra already has 52 per cent quota, the Maratha quota will take the reservation to 68 per cent. I.e 16% is now reserved for marathas.It has been informed the court that the reservation excluded the creamy layer of the community, which is economically well-off, and was only meant for those in the socially and educationally backward category.So basically maratha reservation isn't divided and just includes non creamy layer category people.
