Hi

No, it is not necessary to have maths in your 11th to be eligible for SSC CHSL examination.

But yes,
to be eligible for the post of DEO Grade A in the Office of C&AG i. e Comptroller and Auditor General , it mandatory to have studied math in 10+ 2

This is because,

The eligibility criteria of SSC CGL is provided below :-

*For the post of LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO i. e for the posts other than DEOs in C&AG :- You must have passed 12th or equivalent in any stream from a recognised Board.

So, without maths, after you 12th you will be eligible for SSC CHSL for LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO

* DEOs in C&AG :- You must pass 12th in science stream with math.

So, without maths, you won't be eligible for DEOs in C&AG

Also,
* to be eligible minimum age should be 18 years
* maximum age should be 27 years, there's 3 year relaxation on upper age limit for obc and of 5 years for sc/st category
