Mechanical is all about machines, their designs and structures, how they work etc. CSE is computers and coding. If you like latest technology and are interested in their working CSE is good. Both branches have good job opportunities.

Both mechanical and computer science are evergreen branches. In computer science you will have to work on laptops but in mechanical you will have some field work.In computer science you will easily gets a job with high salary package whereas in mechanical you will find difficulty in getting a job after graduation and packages will be Lower than cse graduate.
