There is no definite answer to which one is better as both courses deal with different aspects of machine development. In terms of scope, both have an equivalent future prospect. If the individual is more interested in the design aspect of machines, then Mechanical and Automation Engineering would be the better course. If that is not the case, they could opt for mechanical engineering.
