Hello dear

Mechanical engineering is all about machines , their working and their processes.

Here you get to know the Design , working , construction , properties of material etc. So if you want the Design any machine , automobile parts ,phones etc. You need to work on the designing software like autocad, solid works, catia etc.

And mechanical engineering is a good option to do this because you will get to know the structure , construction and all about what are you going to design and you can design it very easily .

Good luck
