Is there are few NITs which are better then IITs. There are NITs which are older and much reputed than the new IITs. These old NITs are better in attracting the companies than the new IITs due to the reputation they hold the colleges. So if you want to get good jobs in better companies then joining the older NITs is a good option rather than joining the new IITs which are recently established

Its rather more subjective question there are some parameters on which NIT may be good for a candidate like location and friends. If you consider academics and research then NITs does not match with IIT but it does not mean that you should not join NIT.

If you have strong motivation then college does not matter much so better not to fall in the debate of which college is good just try hard to get into best and once you get into any college trust me if you use four years wisely college does not  matters most.

In terms of Infrastructure , Funding, Networking NITs are much better than IIT.
