The aerobic anoxygenic phototropic bacteria have been recently discovered. They are duvided into 2 marine and 6 fresh water genera which belong to the subclasses of the class Proteobacteria. Though we have this phylogenetic information, their evolution and ancestry of their  photosynthetic properties are unclear.
