Yes.Ragging is prohibited in almost all colleges in India.But in some colleges this might happen without the notice of Institution but yes according to the official rules it is banned in almost all colleges.In every IIT and NIT this is strictly banned anyone who is caught doing these kind of things will be seriously punished and may even be banned from the he Institution.
