The ranking system of JEE Mains is based on the JEE Mains percentile score of students. The students are assigned the ranked in he common rank list. If the student belongs to any particular category such as ST, SC, OBC, EWS, PWD, then there is a separate rank list for the category students.

The admissions for general category students are done on the basis of rank in common rank list. There are certain number of seats reserved for category students. Those reserved seats are filled according to the category rank list.

The ranking system of JEE is also without caste and with caste. JEE Mains result will have a common rank list(CRL) and category wise ranks also. The categories available are OBC, SC/ST, GEN EWS and PWD also.

NO, Ranking system is not according to caste or category.

the ranks are given to applicants based on their scores and percentages.

caste and category palys a vital role at the time of cut off for the admissions.

Reservations are most helpful at that time.
