Students Under OBC/SC/ST Category can avail benefit of scholarship only if they there family income is less then 2.5 lakhs for SCs and 2 Lakhs for OBC and General candidates. So if your family income is lesser then that you will get the benefit of scholarship by apply for fee reimbursement program of your Domicile state.

Yes a schedule caste student under self finance do get scholarships  in every field.  There is also a scholarship named " THE PRIME MINISTER SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR SC STUDENTS " . The scheme has been helping many students . Also there are some private trusts which provide scholarships for self financed students . Also there must be minority trusts i which do provide scholarships to students  who belong to the minority.
