Hello aspirant,

Well according to me 8GB of RAM is enough to do all the basic things that any Computer Science Engineering student would be requiring to do.
Like I’ll give you a list of what you can do with just 8GB of RAM:

>> Programming

>> Visual Studio

>> Photoshop (image editing)

>> Gaming (All early to Mid entry level Games)

>> Android Studio (Android app development)
