In accordance to your question, a marksheet and certificate is not the same as because a marksheet is that which will show you how much marks you have scored in your class 12 th boards , while a certificate will not show that. It will show you that you have well and good passed in the 12 th exam and now you are eligible for entering any college or institution. And talking about Bihar Board,  a marksheet and a certificate is not same.
