From the structure of the question what I collect is - Mechanical or automation engineering have any value or not?

Starting from the cycle to motorcycle to car to aeroplanes , submarines and much more and now using the techniques of artificial intelligence to have automated cars. This shows how vast mechanical engineering can be that it can blend with computer science, electronics and other engineering fields so easily.

The value of any engine field solely depends on its application and Mechanical engineering will always have it's importance. So, the bottomline is - it is of immense importance to all of us.
