In 2019, EWS reservation was newly introduced and the Bill was passed after NEET applications were closed. And that was the reason why NTA has opened the correction window after the results have been announced so as to facilitate deserving Candidates to change their Category. But if you look at 2018, NTA didn't open the correction window. And going by that, the chances of NTA re- opening the correction window are less. Thanks for the response Priyanka. I get it that it's almost impossible for NTA to re-open correction window. My brother appeared for NEET UG 2020 and has his category mentioned as general on applicant form when it's actually GEN-EWS. He had no certificate when forms were to be filled so the problem. The candidate is from State of Jammu and Kashmir. For AIQ, I see that his category will be considered as general now but will it be same for State government colleges? We have no AIQ in J&K and last year many students who had general on applicant form were considered as General-EWS during councelling but I am not sure if same will be the case this year. I have forwarded emails to both NTA and the state councelling body of JK for this matter. I will be very thankful to you if you can tell me something about this case.
