As we use to hear that there is no count of age in gaining knowledge but it only upto theoretical level but if we get practical than yes there are some age boundaries which we should follow.

Competitive exams like JEE-Main and JEE-Advance are the main national level exams for B.tech. course and they have certain time period, for e.g. you have total of six attempts for JEE-Main in consecutive three years after qualifying 10+2 whereas JEE-Advance has just two attempts for consecutive two years after qualifying 10+2.

If we talk about campus placements than companies prefer more younger and talented candidates even in your case you are not too old because this is the normal age for placements, generally every candidate starts his/her job around this age so you are eligible for campus placements.

There is no problem regarding your age during campus placement. Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria of the company, can sit for that drive. A company usually asks to have at leat 60% marks throughout a candidate's academic. They usually don't ask for any particular age. However, during interview they can ask your about this. But that's no way related to getting selected or not. And completing B.Tech by the age of 23, is not abnormal, its quite okay.
