Yes,there is category system is DNB counselling.
There are seats reserved for certain categories which are allotted to the candidates of these categories only. Candidates who belong to the reserved categories have two options. Either to opt the reserved seats earmarked for them or unreserved seats in order of their specific merit.
The number of reserved seats in DNB CET is decided by the respective institution only.
