In 510 Gate score it is tough for you to get into core, so you can try indisciplinary courses in IIT's/NIT's or IISc.
Research programs {M.tech (research)/MSc(Engg)/PhD} doesn’t require a too high GATE score. These days the cutoffs for research programs are relaxed for those students who have good academic record throughout, starting from class X. There are instances where a good academic record and a normal GATE score (> 450) have also got interview calls from IISc ECE. This trend is seen in some old IITs as well. But oyou have to prove your capability in the interview, by proper reasoning and derivations for the questions posed.
