well it depends on the courses and entrance test which you have applied. for example , engineering courses like b.tech or management courses like bba has many private institute which categorized as tier 1 to tier 3, since you have low score you may apply for tier 3 institute. but you must have to think ahead that, what will be the future outcomes after studying in tier 3 college. you will not get the good quality education, placement will be less, no skill development program. so after completing the course you have to struggle to get suitable employment which seems much harder than cracking a entrance test exam. so think wisely before taking admission in tier 3 college. before taking admission in any college check students review , placement records to ensure of it.
