Unlike combined Btech and Mtech, which you may choose originally, integrated Mtech and PhD is not a distinct unique course. Every IIT/NIT offers the opportunity to convert Mtech into an integrated Mtech-Phd at the conclusion of the first year. Also, your grade point average (cgpa) from your first year of Mtech will play a role in this. To continue your Mtech research into a PhD, you must first meet the institute's minimal cgpa requirements. This works well for many students since it saves them a significant amount of time.
