The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's "Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students" offers significant support, including coverage of tuition fees (up to 3.72 lakhs per annum at private flying clubs), as well as academic and living allowances.

The Government of India also provides an SC/ST Pilot Training Subsidy, covering 50-75% of Commercial Pilot License (CPL) tuition costs at approved academies. Many state governments, such as Maharashtra and Kerala, have their own schemes, with Maharashtra offering up to a 100% subsidy on pilot training fees through the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy for eligible state residents.

Additionally, private aviation institutes, like Indira Gandhi Institute of Aeronautics (IGIA), offer merit-based scholarships or fee waivers for deserving students from financially weaker backgrounds.

Eligibility for these programs typically requires meeting specific income and academic criteria, being Indian nationals belonging to the SC/ST categories, and possessing the necessary documentation like caste and income certificates.
