Yeah there is a option in each and every engineering college to change the branch after 1st year but for that you need to have a valid reason of changing the branch as well you should have a good CGPA in both the semester of first year.

Tushar you should know that every university and college have provided the option of “branch change”, for the students after passing first year .

so that if any doubt still prevails in the mind of a student after taking admission in first year, he/she can then change his/her respective branch in second year.
