Hi Amizthni,

Sorry for the delay about your answer.

So particle physics is a very rare career option which means a lot less competetion intent you would be paid pretty well as compared to the other professions but you need to be pretty good in your job as this is a job of quite precission and of a very high order.

I would give you the different jobs with an average starting salary about the jobs which all you can choose after becoming a physicist that to specialised in particle physics-

  • Working in some research organisation ( most apt job as per the job profile)

Physicists working in research and development are involved with specialized branches such as Elementary Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics, Atomic, Electron, Molecular Physics, Physics of Condensed Matter, Optics, Acoustics, Plasma Physics and the Physics of Fluids. Growing numbers of physicists are specializing in fields such as Biophysics, Chemical Physics, Health Physics and related sciences.

Around 7-10LPA

  • Maintaining the machine and R&D

There are some industries where they require specialist to maintain the machines and work in the research and development department of the firm. For eg- there is a firm in USA whse owner is manoj bhargava who is avidly spending on the R&D of the firm and for welfare of the people.

Averaging a salary of about 10LPA in  good MNC.

  • University and colleges

Many top notch universities take up proper physicist as a faculty as they help in the research projects and can teach students pretty well as being a specialist in the field.

Starting salaries are about 7LPA

  • Nuclear facilities

This is the main stream job of a particle physicist as who would know better about the processes of fusion and fission and how to contain them and use it adequately to generate electricity and contain the radiations from the alpha beeta and gamma rays.

Starting at about 10LPA

  • Millitary

Same as the nuclear facilities millitary needs to develop nuclear weapons and maintain them as they are highly dangerous and need to kept under surveillience carefully.

Salaries in the defence are as per the grade you are on and a few allowances.

As you havent started with your graduation too, I would suggest you to take up a research in how to usse fusion as a source of heat in powerplants, this would change the whole way of how powerplants work and would make electricity available at so cheap rates that you cant imagine.

I hope I answered your answer

Cheers!!
