Please do mention the exam which you're talking about as different exams have different rules. Some exams do allow to apply after last date for a limited number of days with a late fee and some do not. So, be specific about the exam or tag the exam in the comment section below.

see once an examination  application date is over, you can not apply for the same unless the exam authority extends the application date , once the last date for applying is over the application window gets closed.
