Validity of your EWS certificate basically depends on the guidelines of your State/UT.

For eg. In Gujarat, EWS certificate is valid for 1 year but in other states like Maharashtra, duration of its validity is for six months only.

So, at the time of your document verification process, your EWS certificate should be at its valid period.
