Campus placement is for all branches and as of now there isn't any restriction for applying in any campany. According to the sources, branches like civil and mechanical get placed in IT Sector whereas the CSE or MNC students get in TATA STEEL or any PSU. 

It's all depends on a person talent and approach , and to be fair the academics doens't play a major role in selection procedure as there are several testimony where students with low GPA got more Package than a student of high GPA
