My friend encountered the same problem during her admission in some college in Punjab.As she was from uttar pradesh her certificate has a term OBC , while they have bc mentioned in the caste certificate.During document verification, one person objects it but after a discussion with the counselling department and they verify it correctly, so it does not matter.But, if college provides some standard format for certificate follows that otherwise have your own state standard format.
