National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Guwahati offers MS Pharma Biotechnology Course. MS Pharma Biotechnology is a two year full time course. NIPER JEE exam is conducted by the institute for admission.  Admission to the course is done on the basis of the merit.

IITs offer B.Tech and M.tech programmes in Biotechnology. Admission to M.Tech programme in IIT is done on the basis of marks of GATE scores.
