For taking admission in GFTIs that is government funded technical institutes upto 23 number in throgh out India candidate has to appear for JEE main examination and have to score well to get 30k to 40k rank. Seats are allotted in those institutions is done through  jossa counselling.  The fees for most of the categories to take admission in those institutions is in average of  rupees one lakh per annum. Anyone who from economic weaker section e w s category they can apply for scholarship and free student Shiv which is affordable on the Fees waving schemes FWS
