The answer depends on what are you targeting after your graduation. Gate is an exam for mtech admissions or PSU recruitment.
If both of these are not your aim , then gate is not for you.
Secondly, if you want admissions without giving gate , then check out fir universities and colleges that offer admissions on basis of their own tests and interview procedure
