Karnataka is introducing several new initiatives in SSLC studies to align with the country’s education goals and the National Education Policy 2020. The state has implemented a comprehensive action plan for the 2025–26 academic year, emphasizing timely syllabus completion, remedial education, and teacher training to improve student outcomes. Programs like the Marusinchana scheme have been expanded across multiple educational districts to provide targeted support to students who are academically behind, focusing on subjects such as mathematics, science, and languages. Additionally, evaluation norms are being revised, including lowering pass marks and incorporating internal assessments, to align with national standards and reduce academic pressure, creating a more supportive and effective learning environment for SSLC students.
