No, the admissions in Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr Sagunthala R and D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai are based on the VTUEEE exam. Candidates having 60% marks in MPC/BPC in 10+2 are eligible for direct admissions and they do not have to appear for the entrance examination. Other students who have an HSC qualification need to appear, register and secure a valid rank in the VTUEEE conducted by the college.
