Coming to your query regarding Computer science and engineering branch, the course structure is almost the same as the remaining colleges but the difference is infrastructure and faculty. (According to the reviews). Approximately 50-60 percent major companies come for placements and the number of students getting placed is more than 80 percent in case if computer science branch.

It is a good college, the industrial exposure in the college is a little bit less but it gets compensated by rest of the characteristics like it's placements, college staff, cocurricular activities etc. There is a good college crowd with a good infrastructure. You should also consider other options to compare this college with. It's really tough to analyse the situation from the outside. As far as i can see is the reviews provided by the students their is above average.
