Yes, class 10th marks are important for admission to Industrial Training institute. Admission to ITIs is based on marks obtained in class 10th. After completing the courses at an ITI, students recieve the National Trade Certificate to be eligible for he ITI, candidates must have passed class 10th with a minimum of 35% marks from recognised board. However,for courses like mechanics, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in class 10th.
