Hi Ghanshyam,

If you wanted to prepare for the JNU Entrance Examination, first of all you should clear all your concepts from the NCERT of classes 6th to 12th.

For preparation of Modern History, i would suggest you to read "Modern India by Sumit Sarkar" as this book is officially referenced by the JNU on it's official Website.
