the competition here is close. While python is used in in-demand skills like machine learning, AI, robotics etc.  java has its role in app development. surveys show that there is a larger demand of java programmers but those who code in python are offered a better salary. so it finally depends upon your choice if you can learn a language with passion you can easily get a job.
