Dear Aspirant,

The main difference between JEE Main and JEE Advanced is that JEE Main is an eligibility test to qualify for JEE Advanced and NITs while JEE Advanced is to qualify for IITs. into JEE Main is an undergraduate entrance examination for engineering studies that are conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Hope it was helpful.

Hello Student,

Hope you are doing well. JEE Main and JEE Advancedare Indias twomost popular engineering entrance exams. This year, around 15-17 lakhs students will test their luck in order to appear for the engineering entrance examinations. JEE Main is indeed one of the most challenging exams held by government-supported technical institutes such as NITs and IIITs, but IITs primarily host JEE Advanced, and candidates must pass JEE Main in accordance with the procedure laid for JEE Advanced.

Jee Mains is the examination which is conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to most of the colleges and universities for engineering and Architecture courses at undergraduate level.

Whereas the JEE Advanced scores are accepted by Indian Institutes of Technology and some specific institutions for admission to Undergraduate engineering, and Architecture courses. The candidates who qualified jee mains are eligible for applying for jee advanced and can become eligible for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology.

Some of the major differences between Joint Entrance Examination Main and Joint Entrance Examination Advanced are as follows:

JEE Advanced is a very tough and conceptually deep exam while JEE Main is relatively easier.
Anyone can give JEE Main but only the JEE Main qualified students can give JEE Advanced.
JEE Main is used for admission into NITs and GFTIs while JEE Advanced is used to give admission into the IITs.
