Hello there,
To qualify for JEE Advanced, candidates must meet minimum marks criteria based on their category. These are approximate percentages of total marks:
General (Common Rank List): At least 30% aggregate and around 8.5% in each subject.
OBC-NCL and General-EWS: At least 27% aggregate and about 7.5% in each subject.
SC, ST, PwD: At least 15% aggregate and about 4% in each subject.
For example, if the total marks are 360, qualifying marks would be around 31 for General, 27 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and 15 for SC/ST/PwD.
Meeting these qualifying marks allows participation in counselling but does not guarantee admission, as actual seat allotment depends on rank, category, seat availability, and preferences.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
