It means that either the question was wrongly stated or the options given were wrong or it was asked in the single option correct but has 2 or 3 options correct or the correct answer was not mentioned in the options. In either way it was confusing for the student. That's is why that question is dropped from the exam and all the students will gets bonus marks for that question.
