Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery commonly known as BAMS, is an undergraduate degree program which allows the aspirants to integrate the concepts of Modern Medical Science and Traditional Medicines, i.e. it has focus on Ayurveda. The duration of this course is 5.5 years which also includes Internships. Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh has only one private college that offers this course which is Dr Krishna Gopal Dwivedi Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital. The college has been affiliated to Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and has been approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicines/Ministry of AYUSH. The annual tution fees for the course in this college is Rs. 2,04,600.
