Yes, the school was opened with an aim to provide distant education to the ones who are not able to attend the school. The board is recognized by the Jharkhand state and the degree is accepted by MHROD, Government of India.

JSOS which is Jharkhand State of Open School was set up in the year 2014 and registered with the Government of Jharkhand, it has also submitted membership for COBSE which is council of boards of school education in India under Ministry of Human Resource Development,Government of India.So, it'a valid as well as recognised board.
