JIPMER is an institute of National Importance formed by the Act of Parliament like other AIIMS. It’s autonomous in nature and conducts its own exams, sets its own curriculum and offers various bachelors, masters, fellowship and even PhD.

It is located primarily in Pondicherry, with a 2nd campus in Karaikal. 150 MBBS seats are there in JIPMER Puducherry, 50 in Karaikal. Puducherry is an union territory in India, located almost 150 km from Chennai down south.

JIPMER is a national level exam which offers MBBS seats ,that is ,200 in total. 150 seats in Puducherry and 50 in Karaikal. The exam is computer based that is online. The application form has been released on March 6. The exam is conducted once in a year. The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. The exam will be conducted on June 2. This exam is conducted for admission in MBBS course. The exam will be conducted in 120 cities.
