All those candidates who have qualified JEE Mains or both JEE Mains and Advanced and have 75% or more (for general ) in their 10+2 board examinations, can appear for JoSAA counseling. No other examination can lead a student to sit for JoSAA counseling. Through JEE Mains' rank, you are eligible to get NITs, IIITs or GFTIs, and through Advanced rank, IIT seats are available.

1. Candidates should have secured above the cutoff rank in JEE Main 2019 Paper I, i.e., B.Tech..
2. Candidates should have qualified 12thstandard (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject.
3. For admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, the general category candidates should have scored 75% and OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD candidates should have secured 65%.
