Gmk means general category of  students who studied in Kannada medium for several years of study.

Gmr means the general category of students who studied  in rural areas.

The student who studied at least 10 years in Kannada medium and in rural areas enjoy only 5% reservation of seats in schools and colleges and in government jobs.
