The Karnataka SSLC mid term exam is for Class 10 students. It is held in the middle of the year to check how well students have understood the lessons taught so far. This year the exams are from 12 September to 19 September 2025. Most exams are in the morning from 10:30 am to 1:45 pm, and some are in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Students also get 15 minutes before the start of the exam to read the question paper.

The subjects in the exam include first languages like Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit. It also includes main subjects like Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Music subjects like Hindustani and Carnatic music have separate timings.

The exam is important because it helps students practice before the final SSLC board exams. The board has also made some changes, like sharing the question papers only a few hours before the exam to prevent leaks. Passing marks and evaluation rules are also set clearly for different subjects.
