Dear Asad, Every Country has its own Law. No country adopts other country's Legal route. They tweak and write their Laws based on the type of Government that particular country has. For Example, India has a Democartic Governance while Bangladeah has Secular Governance. So when you go to study Law in those particular countries, you tend to study the Laws of that particular country and the Constitution that is in use. If you want to study Law Abroad it comes handy if you want to practise International Criminal Law or Human rights law. On the other side, if you want to study Law abroad and come back to India to practise, you need to remember that only 20% of Law graduates work in the Indian Judiciary system while others work in other sectors. So if you want to study law but do not want to practise as a Lawyer, then this comparitive Law comes handy when you join any MNC.

Some of the best universities for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs are:
  • Harvard Law School
  • Oxford Law Faculty
  • Cambridge University
  • Yale Law School
  • Stanford Law School
  • New York University
  • London School of Economics

In India, we have LLB at UG level, but in the US, it is also called JD or Juris Doctors. India has banned people from other nations from practising law here. Also JD is not an internationally recognized degree, so you can practice law only in the US with that degree. It's better to take LLB from a reputed law school, than wasting time and money on a degree that you can't even use in your own country.
