Software engineers are usually specialized in computer science engineering and information technology. Good knowledge of programming languages is the key to success in this field.

Software engineering and IT are one of the top branch chosen in India and abroad. Plenty of jobs are avaialble in private, public sectors, school, banks, colleges and even with a good experience you can start your own firm.

To do software engineering you will have to do btech in this or related specialization and for that you will be required to appear for entrances like Jee Main, BITSAT, Jee Advanced etc. Admission to master’s courses like M.E./M.Tech will be done on the basis of GATE examination.

To become a software engineer, skills required are Excellent knowledge of hardware and software,  Debugging skills, CASE knowledge etc.

Some of the colleges which has this course are:

IIt's, NIT's, BITS Pilai etc.

After you have attained this degree you can even work as software engineer, software designers, software programmers, projeact managers etc.

Some of the top companies which provide placement in this specailization are:

IBM, TCS, Wipro, HCL and many more.
