ICAR Universities provide a B.Tech Biotechnology course for students passing Higher Secondary/10+2/Intermediate with the following Subject combinations

PCM/PCMB/PCB/Inter (Agriculture) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (P, C, M and B are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, respectively) .

The following ICAR colleges provide a B.Tech specifically in Biotechnology :

1. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Samastipur, Bihar. (30 seats)
2. University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. (10 seats)

However, there are many institutes of ICAR that provide a B.Tech degree in Food Technology , Diary Technology , Plant Biotechnology and Animal Biotechnology .
