For coding you need the following things as minimum requirement in your laptop as

I5/i7 processor

8gb ram

2 TB hard disk

Graphics (optional)

And yes hp is a very good company and in hp you can go for the pavillion series as they are very good and offers good Technology at average cost and  you can get hp pavilion laptop around 60k only so it also depends on your budget accordingly you can go for it.
