Dibrugarh University was established in the year 1965 by the Assam Legislative Assembly.

• The university offers UG, PG And Doctoral Courses in multiple disciplines. It offers various UG, PG, Diploma, and M.Phil & Ph.D. courses.
• At UG level, the university offers B.Ed, B.Pharm, BCA, B.Li.Sc, B.P.Ed, BBA, BA (Performing Arts) and B.Tech programs in various disciplines along with integrated B.Sc-M.Sc and BA-LL.B courses. This university also imparts education through distance learning.
• The University Campus is spread in an area of more than 500 acres.
• This University also offers MA, M.Com, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.L.I.Sc, LL.M, MCA, MSW, M.Pharm, M.Tech and MBA courses at PG level along with M.Phil, Ph.D. and D.Sc./D.Litt programs at Research level.
• The university also offers various UG and PG courses through distance education (DDE) mode.

Eligibility Criteria :

• BA in the relevant discipline with 45% marks in aggregate.
• Admission to Ph.D., M. A. and M.Phil is done on the basis of DURAT followed by an interview conducted by the university.
• GATE/ NET/ JRF passed candidates are exempted from DURAT.
• Admission to courses in distance education (DDE) is done on the basis of merit basis on first come first serve basis.

Selection Criteria :

• Selection to MA, M.Com and M.Sc. is done on the basis of entrance test and interview or merit in the last qualifying examination (for certain specialization). 
• The university also accepts Assam CEE for admissions into various courses offered. 

Course Details : The course duration is of 2 years. This course has 60 seats to fill. This post graduation course is a full time on campus programme. 

Fee details : Total fees you need to pay for the 2 years is 23, 760 INR. 

Merit Screening :

• Admission is based on the marks obtained in academic performances, entrance test and viva-voce conducted by the centre.
